It appears that the ACERS cornet band was the creation of Allen Acers, a egg dealer who lived in the village. What isn’t so clear is his death date. The Mt Pleasant Cemetery records shows Allen Agers as dead in 1908, the local paper has it as April of 1909, and the Syracuse paper has it as August 1910. Anyhow, by all accounts, this was a fairly active band.
